It rains, so Ben plays inside with his mother.
Today it rains. Ben looks out the window. The sky is grey and the street is wet.
"I want to play outside," says Ben. "But I can't. It rains too much." His mother smiles. "We can play inside," she says.
They go to the living room. Ben and his mother make a house with boxes and blankets. It is a big house. Ben laughs.
Then they read books together. Ben likes stories about animals. His favorite animal is the lion.
In the afternoon, they make hot chocolate. It is warm and sweet. Ben drinks it slowly.
Later, the rain stops. The sun comes out. "Now we can go outside!" says Ben.
They put on their shoes and walk to the park. The grass is wet, but Ben is happy. He jumps and runs. His mother laughs too.
