A sunny day by the sea with the family.
Today is a sunny day. Lia and her family go to the beach. Lia is very happy.
The sea is big and blue. The sand is soft and warm. Lia takes off her shoes. She walks on the sand.
"Look, Mom!" says Lia. "The water is cold!" Her mom laughs. "Yes, it is cold. But it is nice."
Lia and her dad make a castle of sand. It is big. They use a small red cup for the towers.
A wave comes. The water breaks the castle. Lia is sad for one minute. Then she laughs. "We can make a new one!" she says.
At noon, the family eats lunch. They have bread, fruit, and water. A little bird wants the bread too.
In the afternoon, Lia and her brother play in the water. They jump over the waves. The sun is hot.
Lia finds a small shell. It is white and pink. "This is for you, Mom," she says. Her mom is very happy.
When the sun goes down, the family goes home. Lia is tired but happy. "I love the beach," she says.
